Jeffrey D. Linkowski
Jeff grew up in Mt. Lebanon and attended the local high school where he participated in wrestling his first three years and played baseball as a senior. He moved on to St. Vincent College, where he played baseball as a freshman. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh from 1982-86, where he studied for a Major in Business with a Minor in Communication.
Jeff began his financial planning career with the Equitable in Pittsburgh, prospecting for and selling life insurance to individuals. In January 1992, Jeff moved on to New York Life in Pittsburgh. Early on, he obtained Series 6 (Mutual Funds) and 63 (PA) licenses and he primarily prospected among individuals and professionals for life insurance and annuity due diligence and placement. In September 1995 Jeff looked to expand his offerings and moved to Prudential Securities, Inc., where he obtained Series 7 (Securities) and 65 (Investment Advisor) licenses. In July 1997, Jeff became an Independent Advisor Representative. His role was to integrate superior expertise and guidance, broad product scopes and the highest level of professional service, while maintaining independence from any institution.
Jeff became a Regional Life Consultant for Nationwide Financial in January 2001. He handled Flexible Premium Variable Universal Life and Survivorship Life business development, presentation and point of sales to brokerage wire houses in Pennsylvania and Western New York.
A few years later, Jeff returned as an Independent Financial Advisor and Consultant.
In February 2012, Jeff added business development responsibilities for a local Pittsburgh record-keeper, Inspira. His responsibilities included identifying markets, prospects, and presenting and closing new business of 401(k) automatic rollovers of low-balance terminated employees and assumption of IRAs from banks.
In 2014, after having constantly talked to his brother Rob at the RJL Group about helping to expand his practice, Jeff and Rob made plans to work together.
Jeff’s multi-disciplined skills, with over 20 years of experience in a variety of financial services industries, represent a unique blend of business and financial talent, and consulting ideas. He combines marketing and sales with a client-focused approach to communication and service, always placing a client’s needs and interests first.
Jeff’s interests include baseball and baseball history, pro and college football and history, history in general, research, writing, spending time with family. Jeff has been active as a baseball coach within the Mt. Lebanon Baseball Association (1989-93, 1999-2006) and as a freshman baseball coach at Mt. Lebanon High School (1990). He played baseball in the Pittsburgh Men’s Adult Baseball League (1994-98), and was the President from 1996-98. He is a baseball Umpire (2006-Present), including High School (2009-13) and College Division I, II & III (2010-Present). Jeff has authored and self-published three books; “Mt. Lebanon Football: A Tradition of Excellence”, “Building a Champion: Johnny Majors and the 1973-76 Pitt Panthers” and “The 1927 Yankees: Anatomy of the Greatest”. Jeff designed and developed “The Unofficial 1927 Yankees Home Page”.
Jeff and his wife Suellen reside in Mt. Lebanon. They have four children and three grandchildren.
